FAQ.

How do I make a booking?

You can either make a booking request on our website, call Magical Nights on 0416 378 337 or email: magicalnights@bigpond.com.

Do you require a booking deposit?

Yes, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance to be paid prior to party setup. Payments can be made by direct deposit, credit card (Visa /MasterCard) or cash.

Do you require a security bond?

Yes, a $150 security bond is required on the day of setting up the party/event. This $150 will be refunded in full if no damage to hire equipment or cleaning issues arise (see cleaning terms). This can be paid in cash or by credit card.

Is delivery, setup and pack up included in the price?

Setup and pack up is included in all prices. Delivery is free if within 25km from the Northern Beaches Mackay (Bucasia). A travel fees applies if travel is over 25km from the Northern Beaches. (See terms and conditions for travel fees).

What happens if a guest damages the tent, equipment or outdoor cinema components?

The hirer is responsible for the security of the equipment at all times during the Hire period. Any lost, broken, damaged or destroyed equipment will be charged to the Hirer at full replacement value (see terms and conditions)

What happens if it rains?

Our bell tents are mostly waterproof so if light rain is forecast the party/event can go ahead. If heavy showers, storms or strong winds are forecast it is advisable to reschedule the event due. Magical Nights team members cannot risk their safety to setup an event in hazardous weather conditions.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If the party/event is cancelled within 48 hours of the booking date the Hirer will lose the 50% deposit in full. If more than 48 hours notice is given the 50% deposit will be returned in full. If you need to reschedule your event the 50% deposit will go towards your new booking.

What colour tents do you have?

Our bell tents are rainbow, aqua blue, purple/aqua and beige colours and subject to availability. We suggest if you want a coloured tent that you book early as these are in high demand.

How much space will I require for the tent setup?

We require a flat grass surface with a minimum of 6.5m x 6.5m area for the 5m bell tent and 5.5m x 5.5m area for the 4m bell tent. (see terms and conditions)

Do you supply linen?

If you book an overnight slumber party or glamping package all linen including: quilt, quilt cover, fitted sheets and decorative cushions are provided. The guests MUST provide their own sleeping pillow as these are NOT provided due to hygiene reasons. (See term and conditions).

Do I need to wash the linen?

No, you don’t need to wash any linen. Magical Nights washes and sanitises all linen after each use. A cleaning fee applies if linen is left stained or excessively dirty of $20 per piece. (See terms and conditions).

Can you setup the tents or cinema in other locations other than a backyard?

Yes, as long as the delivery is within the Mackay area and the space required and surface is adequate for the setup. We won’t setup our equipment on sand, uneven or rocky surfaces. If park or camping permits are required the Hirer must organise this in advance.

Can you setup in a campground?

Yes, as long as it’s in the Mackay area or a travel fee will apply (see terms and conditions). All camp site expenses are to be paid by the Hirer.

Do you supply dvds or gaming devices with outdoor cinema hire?

No, we don’t provide dvds or gaming devices, the Hirer must provide their own entertainment options for the cinema

Do the tents get hot?

Our bell tents are equipped with mesh windows, window screens and ventilation holes. Made from 100% cotton the tent has the ability to breathe, which has a positive effect on the temperature inside your tent when it’s hot outside. On hot summer days, you can even roll up the sides of the tents and catch every possible rush of air.

What time of the day is best to set up for slumber parties and other overnight events?

Please allow 1.5 – 2 hours for us to setup and style the tent. We prefer to have everything set up at least one hour before your party begins.

Do I need to supply power?

No, we only use battery or solar powered fairy lights

Do I need to bring anything to the sleep out party?

You are welcome to add anything you like to your slumber / glamping party. Note: We only supply light blankets, you may add warmer blankets/sleeping bags in colder weather. You must provide your own pillow

Is food allowed inside our bell tents?

Yes, food is allowed in the tents but please note if any hire equipment, or tent is damaged with irremovable stains, you will be billed for repair or replacement costs. If the tent or linen is left covered in food or drink a cleaning fee of a minimum of $20 will apply. This will be taken out of the security bond

Can I have candles or allow smoking in the bell tent?

Strictly NO naked flames or smoking is permitted inside the bell tent.

Can I have pets in the bell tent?

Strictly NO pets of any kind are permitted inside the bell tent
